The Shanghai event has moved to a new location for this event. It will be held at Pudong Century Park, the largest park in the city with landscaping that combines Chinese, British and Japanese gardening styles. In 2013, some of the HandsOnShanghai projects financially supported by the BreakBulk BUSINESSruns have included the Beach Clean-Up and Walking in the Art events. The Beach Clean-Up was an initiative to support environmental protection awareness with more than 1,000 volunteers participating in cleaning 5 miles of beach and collecting 1,500 kg of waste. The BUSINESSruns in Shanghai have collected $3,870 USD in donations for HandsOnShanghai thus far.

670 runners have participated in previous BUSINESSruns in Antwerp, Houston, Singapore, Vienna, Herning, New Orleans, Copenhagen and Munich. The BUSINESSrun event circuit is the brainchild of coordinators Anders and Katrin Flensborg, who lead the Sales & Business Development Firm Flensborg and Associates GmbH in Munich. Additional Break Bulk BUSINESSruns will take place in 2014, with an event in Antwerp on May 14th and in Houston on October 1st.
